Licks’ Story – The Gecko Who Loves to Groove 🦎🎶

Hey there! I’m Licks — a crested gecko with energy to spare and the heart of a true performer. By day, I’m a bit of a mystery. You probably won’t see me much while the sun’s up I like to chill, nap, and keep things low-key. But when the lights go out… oh boy, that’s when the real fun begins. 🌙

At night, it’s rave time! My enclosure turns into my very own dance floor, and I hit the moves like no one’s watching. Left, right, left thump, thump, thump I make sure everyone knows the party has started. My caretakers say they can always tell when I’m in my groove because they can hear my little feet tapping away. And when I hear those footsteps coming with snacks? That’s my cue for the grand finale the big exit! I dash off into the shadows, lightning-fast and full of flair.

Before I came to Happy Scales Rescue & Rehab, I lived in a home with lots of other geckos. It wasn’t terrible, but it was definitely crowded… and honestly, kinda boring. There wasn’t much space to move, and my love for late-night dance sessions wasn’t exactly appreciated. Some of the other geckos used to give me a hard time for my “unique energy,” but I never let that dull my shine. I knew deep down that being different was something to celebrate.

Now, I’ve got a cozy setup, loving caretakers, and room to move how I want. I’m still hoping to find my perfect forever pad one where I can truly thrive and vibe. I’m looking for a human who understands my rhythm, appreciates my late-night performances, and maybe doesn’t mind sharing a few snacks in between sets.

Until then, you’ll find me dancing under the moonlight, keeping the good vibes alive, and proving that even a tiny gecko can have big moves and an even bigger personality. 🎵💚
