My Story – Nala, The Dragon Who Learned to Love 🦎💛\

~Ready for Adoption~

Hi there! I’m Nala — a bearded dragon with a big personality and an even bigger heart. When I first came to the rescue with my sibling, I was scared of everything. I didn’t understand what was happening, and every time someone tried to open my enclosure, I’d panic and run for cover. Hands were terrifying back then — I thought they meant danger, not kindness.

My caretakers didn’t give up on me, though. They were patient, gentle, and spoke to me softly every single day. They never forced me to do anything before I was ready. At first, I’d just watch them from a distance, keeping one eye open while pretending not to care. But over time, I started to notice something those hands I used to fear always brought warmth, soft pets, and, best of all, snacks!

Little by little, I started to let my guard down. I’d inch closer when my humans came by, waiting to see if they had something tasty for me. Now, I’ve done a total 180! These days, I’ll run straight to the front of my tank the moment I see someone coming. Sometimes I even try to jump out though, let’s be honest, it’s usually because I’m hoping for food.

I’ve learned that people aren’t so scary after all. In fact, they’re pretty great. I love basking on warm arms, snuggling into soft hoodies, and soaking up all the attention I can get. I still have my sassy side (a queen like me has to keep some attitude), but deep down, I’m a total sweetheart.

My journey has taught me something important: trust takes time, but love can change everything. From the frightened little dragon who once ran away, I’ve grown into a confident, curious, and affectionate girl who knows she’s safe and loved. And that’s a pretty amazing feeling. 💛
