Happy Scales Rescue & Rehab is a nonprofit exotic animal rescue dedicated to the ethical intake, rehabilitation, and responsible rehoming of animals other than cats and dogs. Operating within the same facility as Happy Scales & Tails Exotics, our mission is to provide a second chance for reptiles, amphibians, birds, small mammals, fish, and other exotic animals in need. We will offer community education, safe surrender options, adoption services, and ongoing care for unreleasable animals.

Meet Nubs. Nubs was our first official rescue. Nubs is a bearded dragon. Severely malnourished and dehydrated and had a broken tail. Nubs came to us from Wisconsin and spent almost the whole ride on my chest.    

Meet Hissy. Hissy came to us from south of Bemidji. Hissy has a large amount of issues. Hissy was kept in a storage unit only being checked on once a month. At some point in her life someone ripped her fangs out. We had to bring her to the vet due to the injury on her mouth and severer dehydration causing constipation. She is a very sweet girl and loves to be held. She has a ways to go but we will get there. Follow us on FaceBook and Instagram to follow her progress.
